Garden Lockdown Project
Covid 19 and lockdown hit us all hard in 2020. The opportunity to work in my garden on a wall that was crying out for some colour and creativity was tempting and exciting at the same time while providing me with a daily focus. My vision was to have colour in my garden all year round and by taking cues from nature, I included a reference to a small clump of irises that appear near the end of the wall for a short guest appearance once a year, providing a deliberate and playful narrative.
Entitled “Flowers after the Storm (AKA “Flowers 365 days”) 2020 it measures 2.2 metres by 90 cms as a ceramic collage
